Redwoods Post Acute is a skilled nursing facility with 152 beds located in the heart of Willow Glen in San Jose California. We are one of the most fulfilling post-acute in the San Jose Bay Area California. We have a great team, and we would love to have you join it!We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Staff and Development for our Skilled Nursing Facility.Location: 1267 Meridian Ave, San Jose, CA 95125Website: This role is designed for a strategic leader who is passionate about elevating the standards of care through effective staff management and development. The position demands a thorough understanding of skilled nursing regulations and best practices drawn from experience within the healthcare sector. The Director will also play a key role in budget management, helping to optimize resources while maintaining quality care. Communication and interpersonal skills are paramount, as this leader will interact with a variety of stakeholders, including staff, patients, and regulatory bodies.REQUIREMENTS:Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for skilled nursing staff.Develop and implement training programs that enhance staff competencies and patient care standards.Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and support for professional development.Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality improvement initiatives.Manage staffing budgets and allocation of resources effectively to maximize operational efficiency.Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture that encourages team engagement and retention.Serve as a key liaison among management, staff, and external stakeholders to facilitate communication and resolve issues.QUALIFICATIONS:An active California LVN License is a mustA DSD Certificate is a mustPrevious 1-year experience as Director of Staff Development in Long-term care is a mustPrevious 1-year experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility/Long Term Care experience is preferredMinimum of 3 years of LVN experience is a mustStrong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality assurance practices in skilled nursing.Proven experience in staff training and development methodologies.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions regarding staffing and development.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.WHAT WE OFFER: We value our team members and provide a supportive and enriching work environment.
