*Overview:*TFC Consulting is seeking passionate professionals ready to contribute to complex financial audits for federal defense and civilian agencies. Join us in supporting joint programs across the DoD and Federal Civilian community, providing real-time situational awareness.*Key Responsibilities:** Apply knowledge of OMB Circular A-136 requirements for federal financial reporting and FASAB standards (SFFAS) to ensure compliance with federal accounting principles.* Utilize applicable sections of the Treasury Financial Manual and the GAO Financial Audit Manual (FAM) to guide audit execution.* Leverage expertise in the Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA) and the CFO Act to support compliance initiatives for federal civilian and DoD agencies.* Stay updated on relevant OMB circulars and bulletins, ensuring adherence to evolving regulatory frameworks.* Employ agile auditing and accounting solutions to address intricate governmental accounting and budgeting challenges throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to execution and deployment in dynamic environments.* Maintain extensive knowledge of internal control statutes, standards, and regulatory requirements to provide authoritative guidance.* Evaluate the DoD's internal controls and identify key areas of risk to focus audit efforts on.* Communicate material weaknesses and deficiencies in financial reporting to DoD management, including recommendations for improvement.* Analyze the consolidated financial statements and provide a professional opinion on their fairness and accuracy* Collaborate with a diverse team, including contractors, vendors, and government personnel, ensuring impactful contributions both on-site and remotely.* Schedule, attend, and provide substantive input in audit meetings such as entrance conferences, status updates, walkthroughs, and exit conferences.*Qualifications:** Required Education and Certifications:* Bachelor's degree in accounting, business management, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.* Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed by the appropriate state authority preferred.*Experience:** A range of functional and technical accounting and auditing experience, with opportunities for professionals at multiple levels, from mid-level to senior roles, requiring up to 15+ years of expertise.* Progressive leadership roles in financial management services and related projects.* Financial statement accounting within DoD, federal agencies.* Strategic accounting practices and standards expertise.* Direct experience with the following:* FASAB standards (SFFAS) and concepts (SFFAC).* OMB guidance, including Circulars A-123 and A-136.* Internal controls and substantive testing over budgetary accounting, PP&E, acquisitions, inventory, and personnel.* Proven ability to collaborate with IG Community and GAO auditors.*Preferred Skills:** Experience with DoD or Federal Civilian entities.* Practical application of DoD, and federal financial management policies.* Conducting design effectiveness tests and walkthroughs, identifying compensating controls.* Strong knowledge of DoD business processes and initiatives.*Key Attributes:** Excellent written and oral communication skills.* Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.* Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.*Why Join TFC?** Take on a leadership role in a mission-critical area that directly impacts program compliance and operational excellence.* Collaborate with a talented and dedicated team.* Contribute to meaningful projects that improve management systems and services nationwide.*How to Apply:* Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter outlining their relevant experience and qualifications to .
