Job Description: CVOR TechPosition OverviewWe seek a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician to join a dynamic surgical team in Rochester NY. This role involves working in a D/E rotating shift schedule, with the possibility of being on-call. On-call responsibilities typically include one weekend of call per month, one day on call per week, and one late shift per week. Exact shift hours and on-call duties will be discussed during the interview.Responsibilities• Assist in open heart surgery procedures, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate effective patient care.• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.• Prepare and manage surgical instruments and equipment.Qualifications• NBSTSA certification required at the time of submission.• Demonstrated cardiac experience is essential.• Competency in CT surgery is required; thoracic surgery experience is preferred.• Local candidates are encouraged to apply.Work ScheduleThe facility reserves the right to call off up to three shifts for a 13-week contract and two shifts for contracts shorter than 13 weeks. The CVOR Tech is expected to work every other holiday.
