Urgent need for Physician Assistant - General Surgery - Farmington, CT Location.*Responsibilities** Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations to determine the necessity of surgical interventions.* Perform a variety of surgical procedures with precision and care, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.* Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including monitoring patients' recovery and addressing any complications that may arise.* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and specialists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.* Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives to advance surgical techniques and improve patient outcomes.* Maintain accurate medical records, including documentation related to medical coding and patient care protocols.* Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and post-surgical care requirements.* Stay current with advancements in surgical techniques and practices through continuous education and training.Schedule: 3-12hr shifts per weekOn call: NoCases: Procedures required: I&D, debridement, chest tube, NGTDetails:Worksite Setting: InpatientScope of Work: Avg 25-40 patients per shift; split between two teams and vascular surgery during days. Night shift patients split between two providers.
