_*Financial Analyst*_Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Financial Analyst for their Vancouver, Washington location. In this role you will support the Transmission Engineering Business Intelligence and Integrity Organization, providing financial analysis and forecasting for Transmission capital, expense, and reimbursable programs. The role ensures compliance with capitalization and expense policies and collaborates with various stakeholders, including executives, management, finance teams, project managers, and federal agency officials.This position is a one-year renewable contract that includes employee benefits! If you think you'd be a good fit, we want to hear from you!*Pay Range*: $33.00-$35.00/HR*Location: *Hybrid in Vancouver, WA (1.5 days per week onsite. This is subject to change).*Key Responsibilities for Financial Analyst:** Provide financial analysis and recommendations based on Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and A-123 guidelines.* Maintain and update internal policies, processes, and procedures for project analysis.* Analyze work order completions in compliance with FERC, GAAP, internal audit, and A-123 guidelines.* Coordinate with Project Managers (PMs) to place capital assets into service upon project completion, ensuring proper FERC coding, accurate asset retirement, and depreciation tracking.* Deliver financial reporting data to stakeholders, including finance teams, auditors, project managers, and executives, aligned with monthly and annual closing deadlines.* Research, track, and process monthly accruals, reversals, and re-accruals following accounting standards.* Recommend financial actions in alignment with A-123 policies, regulations, and procedures.* Conduct monthly analysis of expenditures to support financial forecasts and ad hoc requests.* Evaluate program costs, identify errors, recommend corrective actions, and monitor resolutions. Notify management of obstacles as needed.* Support capital and expense program managers by analyzing and consolidating cost forecasts and estimates for major projects.* Perform data analysis and reporting for key financial reviews, budget planning, and capital acquisition, ensuring accuracy for decision-making purposes.* Provide financial training to Project and Performance Managers on workflows, methodologies, and technologies.* Identify gaps and recommend process improvements in financial activities.* Create and present financial data using spreadsheets, graphs, and presentations.* Maintain financial records, ensuring compliance with security, governance, and audit standards. Share documents only with authorized personnel and uphold record accuracy for auditing.*Requirements/Qualification for Financial Analyst:** Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Business Mathematics or a closely related technical field is preferred.* 6 months of direct work experience in a financial analysis capacity, including all aspects of project support/analysis is required.* 6 months of financial forecasting experience.* 6 months of working knowledge of automated data systems.* 6 months of experience running queries, generating reports to support management, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in an automated environment.* 6 months of experience researching data anomalies, evaluating information gathered (sometimes from multiple sources), and reconciling data conflicts.* 6 months of experience applying a diversified knowledge of analysis principles and practices./*/*We are unable to accommodate corp. to corp. candidates/*/**About Motus Recruiting and Staffing, Inc:*_Founded in 2006, Motus is an award-winning recruiting and staffing firm in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in professional services and technology solutions.
