Company match of 100% of the first 3% of employee contributions. 50% for the next 2% of employee contributions.Generous paid time off that increases with years of servicePaid holidaysJob Summary:As an EMT-Certified Medical Assistant at AllerVie Health, you'll leverage your specialized training to provide crucial support in our mission to alleviate the symptoms and suffering of allergies, asthma, and related immunological conditions. Your unique skill set as an Emergency Medical Technician enhances our ability to deliver comprehensive care, ensuring patient safety and well-being. This position operates within a collaborative team environment, where your expertise in managing complex patients plays a vital role in patient care.Duties/Responsibilities:Assist care teams in obtaining comprehensive medical histories, reconciling medications, and documenting electronic medical records accuratelyUtilize EMT skills to assess vital signs including height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturationAssist in caring for patients during rare emergent anaphylactic reactionsPerform injections and administer medications under the supervision of licensed healthcare providersConduct spirometry and FeNO testing, ensuring proper technique and patient coachingDemonstrate competency and knowledge of allergy practice, procedures, and medications, assisting with testing, diagnosis, treatment, and immunotherapyProvide emergency response support, including managing anaphylaxis and other acute allergic reactionsMaintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, ensuring adequate stock of suppliesCommunicate effectively and professionally with department leads, management, and patients while adhering to HIPAA regulationsProvide anticipatory guidance to patients regarding visit flow and procedures.Document all activities accurately and promptly in the electronic medical records systemFlexibility to travel to other clinic locations as needed for staffing requirementsPerform other job-related duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and customer service skillsExceptional organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareFamiliarity with electronic medical records systemsProficient in administering injections and managing emergency situations, including anaphylaxisEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalentEMT-B Certification1 year of customer service/ patient care experience preferredPhysical Requirements:Prolonged period of being on your feet/walkingThe employee must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 poundsAllerVie Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer providing equal employment opportunities to applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status, or any other legally protected basis, in accordance with applicable law.
