Tasks include interviewing patients and documenting their history, diagnostic testing, scribing for the physician, injections, lasers, and other in-office retina procedures. The Retina Tech will also assist the retina surgeon with surgical procedures in the ASC. Additionally, the technician would assist with other tasks both clerical and patient care related. These tasks include instrument sterilization, patient communications, chart work-up, medication reconciliation and medication transfers.
