Compress and Mastectomy Fitter

Overview:Here at M Health Fairview Orthotics & Prosthetics, we are seeking to add a Compression and Mastectomy Fitter to our team!This is a full-time position (80 hours per 2 weeks) working from 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday through Friday, at our St Paul location. This position is benefit-eligible!Responsibilities/Job Description:This position is responsible for working with patients to meet their surgical needs including measuring, ordering and fitting of their compression garments and mastectomy supplies, along with being responsible for obtaining the required documentation form physicians and patients to insure reimbursement.Conducts EvaluationPatient evaluationProvides information to the patient allowing them to make an informed consent about their care.Provide a wide array of products to meet the needs of the patientProvide a welcome and supportive environmentGathers InformationObtains prior authorization as required by payers for prosthetsis garments and suppliesObtains all documentation necessary to meet the requirements for successfully processing insurance claimsEnsures performance standards are metBill products according to insurance guidelinesMaintains inventory of supplies and equipment as appropriate to meet the needs of the patientMaintain knowledge of computer programd and equipment to ensure efficient and accurate use ot technologyQualifications:RequiredExperience1 year of experience in a healthcare and/or patient care settingPreferredEducationVocational/Technical Training or Associate's DegreeExperience 2+ years of experience in a healthcare and/or patient care settingCompress and Mastectomy fitting experienceDirect patient care
