Regional MDS Consultant - Covers facilities in South Alabama (Prattville to Tallassee to Florala) $10k sign on bonus plus company car and expense account!Registered Nurse (RN) and MDS (minimum data set) experience requiredNHS Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional MDS Consultant to join our dynamic team. As a Regional MDS Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely completion of Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments for residents in our care homes across the region.Key Responsibilities:MDS Assessment Training: Conduct comprehensive training programs for care home staff on MDS assessment methodologies, guidelines, and best practices.Clinical Support: Provide clinical expertise and guidance to care home staff to ensure accurate and complete MDS assessments.Quality Assurance: Monitor MDS assessment completion rates, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to maintain high-quality standards.Data Analysis: Analyze MDS data to identify trends, assess care quality, and inform strategic decision-making.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements related to MDS assessments.QUALIFICATIONSMust be a Registered Nurse in good standing in the state(s) in which assignedMust be knowledgeable in the areas of general nursing, rehabilitation and restorative nursing, including medical practices in long term careHas a minimum two years experience in long term care with at least one year experience in MDS and Medicare related activities is required.Must have excellent computer skills and a comprehensive understanding of the MDS software programMust have significant experience in nursing assessment and documentationPossesses good organization skills and demonstrated leadership and supervisory skillsPossesses good oral communication and presentation skillsMust be able to maintain regular attendanceExtensive travel required to include overnight travel as needed.We provide the following benefits for you and your family:Blue Cross/Blue Shield health and dental insurance (Low premium and not a high deductible plan)VSP VisionShort and Long Term DisabilityPTOBest in class employee referral programWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in the workplaceOur family caring for yours...
