Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our client's team at a community health center dedicated to providing high-quality mental health care to underserved populations. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in psychiatric care and a passion for serving diverse communities.*Responsibilities:** Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment plans for patients across the lifespan.* Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with evidence-based guidelines.* Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, social workers, and case managers, to deliver holistic care.* Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication management.* Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide follow-up care.* Document all patient interactions and treatment plans in the electronic health record (EHR) accurately and promptly.* Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote mental health awareness.* Stay up-to-date with advancements in psychiatric care and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.*Requirements:** Active and unrestricted PMHNP license in NY.* At least 1 year of experience working in psychiatric care, preferably in an outpatient or community health setting.* Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).* Experience working with diverse patient populations, including those with co-occurring disorders.* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.* Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.* Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment._Please note- The annual base salary range is $120k to $165k.
