Clinical Service Representative - MA - Float

We are looking for full time, talented and compassionate Medical Assistant or EMT to act as a "float" between our Allen Park, Taylor, Southgate, and Woodhaven locations. This position will require the candidate to travel between multiple locations.*This position requires successful completion of a Medical Assistant or EMT-A education from an accredited institution*Scheduling is tentative 8am - 8pm, 3 shifts/week for full time on a floating schedule. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. Schedules published on a monthly basis.ROLE & RESPONSIBILTIES:Prepare patient(s) for and assist with examination and/or treatmentPerform triage and obtain vital signsObtain and timely and accurately document patient history in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)Collect and maintain all patient and business documents while always maintaining confidentialityCollect routine laboratory specimens including phlebotomy, urinalysis and/or oral swabsAdminister medications and non-intravenous injections (intramuscular, subcutaneous and/or intradermal)Start an IV, place a catheter and perform splinting when needed/directedPerform various other clinical, aseptic and/or basic laboratory proceduresDocument within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all medical interventions timely and accuratelyUnderstand and enforce standard health care regulatory requirementsResponsible for quality assurance program for compliance with CLIA waived laboratory and patient result trackersAlways ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliancePerform office procedures including all general administrative duties; ability to operate all office medical equipment Required to travel to various locations as needed based on staffing and volume Other duties as assignedEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT & QUALIFICATIONS:Successful completion of a MA or EMT program from an accredited institution orPosses a valid MA, CMA, RMA or EMT Certification orTwo years of relevant healthcare experience; urgent care or emergency departmentWilling to train new, stellar graduatesMust be proficient in injectionsKnowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiologyINDMA
