This is a supervisory position reporting to the Clinic Manager.WORK SCHEDULE40 hours per weekMonday-Friday onlyMust be available to work day shiftsDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONOur Urology, Pelvic Health, and Kidney Stone Clinic provides comprehensive care for patients of all genders. Our services include specialized pelvic floor rehabilitation, surgical and nonsurgical urologic care, and minimally invasive ultrasonic treatments.POSITION HIGHLIGHTSSupervise a dynamic ambulatory teamWork closely with the Clinic Manager to facilitate daily operations and projectsFoster a positive work environment and promote staff developmentPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESEstablishes and maintains credibility as the leader of day-to-day clinic operationsIdentifies staff and resource problems and takes necessary steps towards a resolutionProvides feedback to the Clinic Manager for annual performance evaluationsSchedules staff work hoursResolves unplanned absences, following Ambulatory Services Resource Pool ProtocolsDevelops, coordinates, and maintains work processes to ensure the clinic runs successfullyEstablishes and maintains safety and emergency protocols for the clinicInterviews Registered Nurses and Medical AssistantsManages orientation and educational programs for newly-hired staffPromotes effective communication among staff and patientsPerforms general clinic RN responsibilities when neededREQUIREMENTS3 years of recent RN work experience, which includes work experience in an outpatient ambulatory clinic or an inpatient medical center floorPrevious charge, lead, or supervisory nursing experienceBLSActive licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington StateABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWESTUW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
