Position Title: Staff Licensed Practical NurseCopper Ridge is recruiting for a nurse to fill an LPN role in a skilled nursing facility setting. The charge nurse is a staff nurse position that has direct care responsibilities as well as supervising responsibilities. We are looking for clinicians who would like to combine their love for people and strong work ethic with the opportunities to advance your career.Duties:Observe and monitor residents' health and assess their needs to provide quality careWork with physicians to create individual care plans and assist them during required operations or proceduresMaintain complete healthcare records and reports including PCC being utilized according to best practices.Supervise, manage, and assist in training CMA's and GNA's on staffPerform routine procedures as needed, including administering medication and injections, and provide emergency medical care when necessaryMaintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the facilityCollaborates with DON in maintaining adequate staffing coverageEffectively utilizes existing manpower to limit the amount of overtime/agency needed to support staffingAssess work performance of nursing staff while on duty ensuring timeliness in services to our patients/residentsMaintain security of the facility, creating an environment that is respectful, team-oriented, and responsive to the needs of our staff, patients, and their familiesMonitoring nursing care to reduce hospitalizations and ensure positive outcomes.Encourages shift to shift communication between incoming and outgoing nursing staff.Reviews prospective Admissions in relation to existing nursing capabilities and ensures readiness to treat.Ensure that patient's attending physician and family or responsible party are promptly notified of any significant change in the patient health condition.Investigates patient/family complaints and takes appropriate actions to bring to resolution.Requirements:Current state LPNBLS/CPR certificationIn-depth knowledge of nursing care methods and health and safety guidelinesResponsible and compassionate with outstanding organizational and communication skillsExperience supervising GNAs and CMAs in a nursing home settingPreferred Skills: Our ideal candidate is organized, interested in management positions, and committed to maintaining high standards.Benefits: 401k, health, life, vision, and dental insurance, PTO, flexible schedule, overtime pay,Call to Action: If you're ready to join a vibrant team with opportunities for growth, click the apply button to start your application.
