In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing internal billing and invoicing processes, ensuring accurate and timely generation of invoices, and resolving any internal billing discrepancies. You will collaborate closely with key departments, including Commercial, Manufacturing, Project Coordination, Cash Application, and Finance Teams, to streamline and standardize billing workflows, policies, and procedures.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial operations and a keen ability to identify and address inefficiencies in billing systems. You will focus on enhancing the overall billing process by analyzing current practices, implementing improvements, and ensuring consistency and accuracy across all invoicing activities. Additionally, you will work with internal teams to resolve billing issues and support efforts to optimize financial operations and cash flow.Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to lead process improvement initiatives, and a collaborative approach. You should be adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively across teams within a dynamic, cross-functional environment. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the continued transformation and optimization of our billing operations.Day to Day Responsibilities:Prepare, review, and issue invoices accurately and on time in accordance with company policies and client agreements.Ensure that all necessary billing data is gathered and verified before invoicing (e.g., contract terms, service delivery, pricing).Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or issues, working closely with internal teams to address and rectify errors or disputes.Communicate with relevant stakeholders to clarify and resolve billing-related questions.Monitoring and maintaining accurate accounts receivable records.Engage to ensure the OTC Billing processes / subprocesses are enabled and optimized through the NCS's NetSuite & Salesforce platforms.Collaborating and coordinating with other departments such as customer service and sales.Maintaining the equipment shipping and payment processCollaborating with commercial teams for accurate billing / collections of equipment invoicingGenerating and presenting reports on billing activities to management.Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis as needed to support business initiatives and shared objectives across Finance and the business.Monitor invoicing and payment schedules to support cash flow management and timely collection efforts.Assist in tracking overdue invoices and work with internal teams to follow up on outstanding payments.Apply incoming cash, ACH, checks, payments, etc. accordingly and accuratelySupport banking deposit management activitiesReconcile banking statements and balance sheet ledgersEscalate issues as appropriate to ensure timely and effective resolutionTravel Requirements: ~25% domestic travel possibleRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree preferred.Billing or Accounting experience Preferred.Proficiency in billing software and systems.+2 years relevant operations in an accounting / finance / shared / business services organization.+2 years of industry expertise in Salesforce / NetSuite / other ERP technologies Preferred.Transformation work in finance and IT systems is ideal.Work with multiple groups and cross function team experiences.Required Skills:Strong leadership with the ability to engage and influence effectivelyStrong communication skillsAbility to operate in a complex / matrixed environmentAbility to operate in a fast-paced environmentProblem solving, analytical skills, exceptional follow throughProficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel).Grow your career supported by an energized and passionate team, professional development, training, flexibility and opportunities for advancement.
