This role offers a salary range of $90,000-$95,000 and focuses on CA jurisdiction claims only. Strong technical knowledge of California workers' compensation claims is essential, and the Self-Insurance Plan (SIP) certification is preferred. This supervisor will oversee a team of five, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and high-quality service.Responsibilities:Claim Supervision & Compliance: Oversee, assign, and supervise workers' compensation claims, ensuring adherence to CCMSI's Corporate Claim Standards, client-specific handling instructions, and applicable laws.Claim Investigation & Adjustment: Investigate, evaluate, and adjust assigned workers' compensation claims in line with established standards and laws.Reserves Management: Establish and monitor reserves for claims within assigned authority levels.Vendor Oversight: Supervise the selection and management of external service providers (e.g., legal, case management) for complex claims.Claim Payments: Authorize and manage claim payments, ensuring they align with industry standards and fall within authority levels.Settlement Negotiations: Conduct settlements in accordance with corporate standards, client instructions, and state laws.Training & Development: Support and train claim staff, providing guidance for skill development.Diary Management: Maintain a personal diary on the claims system for effective case management.Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to all corporate handling standards and client-specific instructions.Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to meet business needs.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 10 years in workers' compensation claim handling, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role preferred.Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.Technical Knowledge: In-depth expertise in California workers' compensation laws and practices.
