Recently PFFCU was named one of the best in state credit unions according to Forbes.Are you looking for a career with professional growth opportunities?Do you have a passion for helping others?Do you enjoy setting goals and reaching them?If you answered YES to any of the above questions, we are looking for you!Principal Mission:· Debit Card denials/disputes· Debit Card maintenance, such as working WorldPay Case Sheets, unblocking cards, Token Enrollment, and travel exclusions.· Check Deposit review for possible hold extensions· Other fraud (ACH, Tax refund, Transfers, BillPay, etc.)· LP Phone Queue, assisting Call Center and members regarding LP matters.· Investigate fraud, evaluate losses, recommend preventative measures· Assist in fraud investigations, recoveries, and prosecutions.· Promote corporate values of member service, teamwork, commitment, performance.Skills / Knowledge Required:1. Knowledge of ATM, Debit Card (Reg E), Check (Reg CC), and VISA and STAR rules, regulations, and procedures.2. Ability to interact with members, financial institutions, and possibly law enforcement agencies.The member contact will frequently involve individuals who are under suspicion of fraudulent acts.3. Critical thinking to analyze account activity and other information.4. Attention to detail - it is essential that all actions are documented accurately and timely.5. Discreetness - all information must be maintained in confidence. Only give information that is required and which is permitted to be provided by law, statute and regulation.6. Ability to evaluate current fraud situations and formulate recommendations to reduce in the future.7. Ability to use a personal computer; entering information via keyboard and accessing information from a computer screen. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word.Major Responsibilities:Check / Deposit Holds1. Create/evaluate and process reports to extend holds on check deposits when needed in accordance with Reg. CC to prevent fraud losses.2. Verify suspicious checks with other financial institutions. Verify payees when necessary.3. Work with the IRS on suspicious tax refunds/deposits.4. Assist branches in placing the proper holds5. Review line of credit activity and delay availability if necessary to prevent fraud / losses.6. Notify members of actions taken and handle member calls concerning check holds.7. Inform management immediately if Credit Union appears to be target of more than merely isolated incidents of fraud.8. Notify Operations to return checks as Late Returns, when possible, to reduce check losses.Denials - Signature, PIN, Check, Transfers1. Process and evaluate denials, processed by card processor on our behalf.2. Process alerts received from Network regarding PIN fraud.3. Investigate claims to determine if activity is valid or unauthorized. Speak with members, merchants, etc.4. Take action on member account based on investigation results, such as close card, order replacement card, change limits, or revoke privileges.5. Provide provisional credits and reverse when warranted.6. Settle account of chargebacks and provisional credits and book GL entries.7. Work with VISA and Debit/Credit Card Processors as needed.8. Notify members of actions taken.9. Run through CAMs database. If on a CAMs alert for which we did not close down the cards, determine if cards should be closed down.Performance Standards· Provisionally credit the member's account within 5 days.· Notify the member of the provisional credit within 2 days.· Determine error within 10 days of receipt of notice.· Report results of investigation to member within 3 days of completing the investigation.· Correct the member's account within 1 day of determining an error occurred.· If provisional credit is reversed, do so only after 5 days of notifying member· Compute member liability in accordance with Reg E (member negligence not a factor, written statement not required, always investigate claim, compute liability in accordance with Reg. E)Visa Credit Card1. Review VISA reports for unusual and possible fraudulent VISA activity.2. Contact members to confirm activity to stop cards compromised with fraud.3. Have fraud claims processed, close/replace cards.4. Work closed out cases, charge member or chargeoff as appropriate5. Follow up with Card Processor on open cases.6. Inform management of fraud patterns so action can be taken if possible to prevent future fraud.General1. Work with various areas to investigate suspicious activity and limit/prevent Fraud.2. Freeze accounts, close Debit/Credit cards, etc as needed to prevent fraud/losses. Remove Hot Cards when warranted.3. Work LP Phone Queue, answering questions regarding fraud claims, Apple Pay, check holds, etc.4. Evaluate fraud losses, recommend ways to minimize, and implement recommendations.5. Backup others as needed.6. Perform any and all duties assigned.#PFFCUBO
