We are offering a healthy work-life balance with flexibility, great benefits AND MORE!!We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing (DON) in overseeing the daily clinical operations of our skilled nursing facility. The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) will assist in the management of nursing staff, ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care, and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) position requires a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment, with a desire to grow in a leadership role.Benefits:• Paid time off• Full benefitsJob Qualifications:Education Licensure:• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NY.• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN).Experience:• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or healthcare setting, with at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.Skills Knowledge:• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of patient care protocols, including the development of care plans and medication administration.• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and other clinical software.• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long-term care, including CMS guidelines, HIPAA, and OSHA.• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.• Strong leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and guide staff.• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with residents, families, and the care team.Personal Attributes:• Compassionate and patient-focused, with a genuine interest in providing excellent care for the elderly.• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of people.• A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality care and regulatory compliance.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Clinical Oversight Resident Care:• Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing the delivery of nursing care to residents, ensuring that care plans are implemented effectively and resident needs are met.• Monitor the health and well-being of residents, ensuring timely assessments, interventions, and follow-up care.• Ensure proper documentation of patient care in compliance with state and federal regulations, including electronic health records (EHR).• Evaluate residents' conditions and collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to adjust care plans as needed.Nursing Staff Support Leadership:• Supervise nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, to ensure quality care is delivered and staff adhere to facility policies and procedures.• Assist with the training, development, and mentoring of nursing staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable and up-to-date on clinical practices and regulatory requirements.• Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff.• Assist in conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues as necessary.• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and high morale.Regulatory Compliance Quality Assurance:• Assist the DON in maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including CMS, OSHA, and other applicable standards.• Participate in internal audits and inspections to ensure that nursing practices meet the required standards and to identify areas for improvement.• Support the implementation of corrective action plans for any deficiencies identified during audits or surveys.• Monitor clinical outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing resident care and operational efficiency.Staff Scheduling Resource Management:• Assist in staffing coordination to ensure adequate coverage across all shifts and meet resident care needs.• Help ensure that the nursing department is properly staffed, and that staff are utilized efficiently without compromising the quality of care.• Assist with inventory and ordering of nursing supplies and equipment to ensure that the department has necessary resources.Communication Collaboration:• Serve as a point of contact for nursing staff and residents' families, addressing concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and review individual care plans.• Participate in family meetings, care conferences, and other forums to update families on residents conditions and ensure family involvement in care planning.Leadership Development Support:• Actively participate in leadership training and professional development to grow in the role of ADON and prepare for potential future roles within the organization.• Step in as the acting Director of Nursing when the DON is absent or unavailable, assuming responsibility for the overall operation of the nursing department.If you're a skilled and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we encourage you to apply!#DONNY
