About George Junior Republic:Founded in 1909, George Junior Republic is dedicated to helping at-risk youth become successful, well-adjusted adults, capable of achieving a higher degree of citizenship and a better understanding of his responsibility to society, family and self. Preventative Aftercare, a GJR Affiliate corporation, provides community-based services in Pennsylvania and Ohio to both adults, children, and families.Summary of the position: The Therapeutic Coach, or Counselor, for the Parenting Inside Out Program (POI) will work therapeutically with incarcerated parents under the clinical direction of the Regional Director and will maintain best practice standards. The PIO Counselor will provide multiple group counseling sessions per week in the jail using the evidence-based Parenting Inside Out curriculum. The Counselor's hours are considered non-traditional based on referring agency, jail, and client needs; however, the work week is considered full time (40 hours per week). The PIO Therapeutic Coach may work 4 evenings per week to meet the needs of the incarcerated parents (up to 7:30pm/8pm).Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or a related field.Minimum of two years of experience working with parents and families in a CASSP (Child and Adolescent Social Service Program) serving system preferred.Licensure preferred but not required.Benefits:Comprehensive health benefitsPaid Time OffLife Insurance provided by employer401(k) with employer match403(bTuition reimbursement programReferral bonus programGeorge Junior Republic and Affiliates is an equal opportunity employer.
