Description:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lending Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the lending industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to develop effective lending strategies. This role involves managing a team, optimizing loan processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.ResponsibilitiesSupervise and mentor the lending team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.Manage the day-to-day operations of indirect lending and consumer loan underwriting.Manage the entire lending process, including loan origination, underwriting, and closing.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and providing exceptional customer service.Analyze credit reports, income statements, and other financial documents to assess loan eligibility.Ensure compliance with all relevant lending regulations and guidelines.Monitor loan portfolio performance and recommend improvements, as necessary.Develop and implement lending policies and procedures.Train and mentor lending staff to enhance their knowledge and efficiency.Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements:Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in lending, with at least 2 years in a management role.QualificationsStrong understanding of lending regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management.Strong leadership and management abilities.Excellent communication and people skills.Proficiency in analyzing financial documents for sound lending decisions.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Problem-solving skills to address complex lending situations and manage risk effectively.Demonstrate personal financial responsibility, integrity, and high work ethics.What we offerCompetitive wagesCareer Growth / Robust Training ProgramWork Life BalanceTop quality health insurance (Full Time)Paid Time Off (accrued and available for use immediately)Paid holidays (Full Time)Banking hours / Closed on Sunday'sTuition ReimbursementEmployer Provided Retirement Benefits401(K) PlanDental & Vision Insurance (Full Time)Short & Long-Term Disability (Full Time)Life Insurance (Full Time)About Us: We are a community-based credit union delivering financial services, education, and support to our members all over the Metro Detroit area for over 70 years.
