We are currently seeking highly and skilled and compassionate *Registered Nurses (RN)* and *Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)* to work one-on-one with our medically complex pediatric patients in their homes, at school, and in the community*Skilled nursing care will include: *Tracheostomy care, care r/t mechanical ventilation, respiratory treatments, enteral care/nutrition, medication management, assist with ambulation, transfers and repositioning, assist with ADL's.*Open Shifts needed:** Weekdays and evenings* Flexible weekend days*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*Nurses with critical care experience, pediatric nursing experience and/or pediatric home healthcare experience, we ask you to please join us in making a difference in the lives of these very special patients and their incredible families.*Essential Functions:** Recognize changes in your patient's conditions that require appropriate nursing interventions to ensure the patient's well-being and safety.* Work collaboratively with the patient's family, respecting all family preferences while communicating at a high level with both the family and the Marathon office* Provide care that is culturally competent, non-discriminatory, and always considerate of the patient's comfortability, needs, and preferences.* Exhibit professionalism, representing Marathon Nursing well by focusing on the needs of the patient at all times, and working collaboratively with the patient, their family, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.* Assist patients on a 1:1 basis, providing all direct patient care ordered by providers, including but not limited to:* Assessing patients with seizure disorders, responding with appropriate nursing intervention as ordered* Maintaining feeding tubes and provide enteral care, nutrition, and hydration as ordered* Providing tracheostomy and mechanical ventilator care as ordered* Providing infusion therapies, including TPN, and CVL care as ordered Medication administration*Requirements:** Current, unrestricted, and unencumbered state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Massachusetts* Proof of valid and current CPR/BLS certification* Six months experience in Home Care/Private Duty Nursing is preferred, but new learners are welcomed to apply (New Grad nurses may qualify for our New Grad Nursing Program)* Experience in Outpatient or Inpatient Pediatric Nursing is preferred but not required* Medical Surgical Care and Critical Care experience is a plus* Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate the building of long-lasting and meaningful relationships with our patients and their families* Dynamic problem solver who enjoys working collaboratively and in team environments*Physical Requirements** Must be able to do occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of approximately 30 pounds* Ability to withstand periods of prolonged sitting, walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and/or reaching.* Must have visual and hearing acuity necessary to perform job duties and maintain patient safetyWe invite you to either call us at *(617)- 648-9800* or fax your resume with a cover letter to us at *(617)-648 9811*Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Employee discount* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Health savings account* Paid time off* Referral program* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 10 hour shift* 12 hour shift* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to Friday* Overtime* Weekends as needed* Weekends onlyWork Location: In person
