We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthopedic/Pain Management Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our client's growing healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive pain management services to patients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.*Responsibilities:** Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients with chronic pain conditions.* Collect and analyze patient medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order appropriate diagnostic tests.* Develop personalized and evidence-based treatment plans for pain management, integrating pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care.* Prescribe and manage medications for pain relief, considering the patient's overall health and potential side effects.* Monitor and adjust medication regimens based on patient response and treatment goals.* Perform or assist in various interventional pain procedures, such as injections or nerve blocks, as part of the comprehensive pain management strategy.* Educate patients and their families on pain management strategies, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.* Provide clear and understandable instructions on medications, potential side effects, and self-care measures.* Work closely with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.* Communicate effectively with patients, addressing questions, concerns, and providing ongoing support.* Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records, documenting patient assessments, treatments, and progress.* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.* Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of pain management services.* Stay informed about the latest advancements in pain management and integrate evidence-based practices into clinical care.*Requirements:** Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.* Current NY licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required.* Pain management (or related) experience preferred.* Proficiency in performing interventional pain procedures.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Strong collaborative and team-oriented approach to patient care.* Ability to work effectively with a diverse healthcare team.* At least 1 year of clinical experience.* Spanish speaking highly preferred._Please note- The annual base salary range is $140k to $160k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
