The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the construction industry, and will be responsible for managing the accounts' receivable function, playing a key role in the month end close process, and preparing financial and job cost reports and will possess the following key traits!*Do you take pride in being accurate, thorough, and dutiful with attention to detail and quality? WE need people like YOU who are always ready and waiting to help us support them by listening, acting and always following the Golden Rule to treat each other the way you would want to be treated.*We are proud to offer:** Pay range: $65,000-$80,000* Pay based on experience* Bonus opportunities* Health insurance* Paid time off* Paid holidays* Professional development assistance* Family focused work environment*Staff Accountant Responsibilities include:** Process weekly payroll for employees ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.* Manage onboarding of new employees including setting up payroll and working with third party Professional Employer Organization.* Complete month-end close to include reconciliation of bank and general ledger accounts and posting of adjusting journal entries.* Manage accounts receivable, including creating client invoices and payment applications, recording receipt of payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely collection of payments.* Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and various job cost reports.* Assist in the preparation of the administrative budget and monitor performance by comparing actual vs budgeted costs.* Assist with year-end close and preparation of annual financial statement review.* Utilize accounting software Sage Intacct and Procore to maintain Job Cost including setting up jobs and customers.*Staff Accountant Qualifications include:** Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.* Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.* Proficiency in accounting software, such as Sage Intacct and Procore.* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.* Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Familiarity with construction cost accounting and project management is a plus.If you are passionate about the construction industry and eager to contribute to dynamic projects, we would love to hear from you.
