The role will work closely with other departments within the organization including Fleet Services, Human Resources, Finance/Accounting and Legal. The position provides significant exposure to the company's C-Suite and business unit leaders.Based in KAG's North Canton, Ohio headquarters, the Corporate Development Analyst will report directly to the Senior Manager, Corporate Development.The position may require some travel, as needed.Essential FunctionsEvaluate potential acquisition opportunities for strategic fitMaintain internal CRM systems and pipeline reportsConduct preliminary valuation analyses on potential target companiesMonitor data rooms and facilitate efficient information sharing with key stakeholdersReview diligence materials and assist with deal execution processUtilize project management tools to track various diligence and integration milestonesSupport M&A integration with post-close reporting and consolidation mattersPrepare materials for quarterly board meetings and monthly pipeline reports presented to investorsAssist with ad-hoc reports and long-term strategic initiativesMonitor industry trends and competitor activitiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in finance or accounting required0 to 3 years of relevant finance, accounting, or transactional experienceGeneral understanding of key accounting principles and financial modelsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)Effective verbal and written communicationSolid organizational and analytical skillsHigh attention to detailAbility to manage time efficiently while managing multiple tasks simultaneouslyTeam-player with willingness to learn about the company and the transportation and logistics industryAmbitious nature with a high sense of integrityNote: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
