RISK SPECIALIST (TEMPORARY/ONTARIO)

*Pay:* $26.74 - $38.09*EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED FOR RISK SPECIALIST:** Administer the safety incentive program, investigate and report workers' compensation claims, general liability, and auto claims.* Managing all aspects of safety in all California entities, which includes: checking sprinklers, fire pumps, fire extinguishers, SDS sheets, employee safety orientation, etc.* Assisting in all aspects of workers compensation claims, including, but not limited to: authorizations; adjusting time cards as needed, maintaining medical files.* Attending court hearings, working with manager on temporary employee restrictions, etc.* Track Uniform Hazardous Waste manifests and file annual reports with California Environmental Agency.* Managing contract delivery service customer issues, working with customers on damage reports and other customer service issues created by contract delivery service.* Managing all aspects of customer injuries within all California locations.* Communicating and acting as the liaison between insurance companies and customer/employee regarding their claims.* Assist loss prevention and insurance adjusters with investigations, which includes reviewing video as needed.* Any other duties as requested by management.*EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS FOR RISK SPECIALIST:* Ability to develop, implement, and coordinate comprehensive risk management programs. Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience; 2 - 4 years of experience preferred; Knowledge of retail policies and procedures; excellent communication skills both verbal and written; ability to handle confidential information; experience in all aspects of risk management; valid Driver's license required with no more than 2 traffic violations or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years.*PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS:* To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.Heavy Work: Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally.Work Environment: Indoor climate controlled environment.Mathis Home promotes and maintains a drug-free work environment.
