Title: Experienced Critical Care Nurse Practitioner, NightsJoin our experienced ICU group as we invite a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our hospital based team just 30 minutes outside of Boston! Employed by a physician owned service, you will be supported by onsite ICU nursing staff, hospitalist, and the ER in this night shift position. Due to the autonomous nature of this role, intubation and central line experience is a must.Compensation:Salaried up to $175,000 (Equivalent to $220,000 in Boston)$5,000 retention bonus after 1 year$100/hr for extra shiftsFull medical benefits, CME, and malpracticeSchedule:12-hour shiftsMidnights: 7pm - 7 am14 shifts per monthSelf-scheduleLocation:10 bed ICU of 250 Bed hospital8-10 patient average censusSuburban MassachusettsLess than 30 minutes from BostonGeneral Duties Include:History, diagnostic tests, comprehensive physical examinations, and assessmentsContinuous patient management if needed for patients with complex health care needsWrites orders, including diagnostic tests and medication orders to accomplish acute and long term plan of careRoutine diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresPerforms treatments and administers pharmacological therapies, IV fluids, and blood productsManages oxygen and ventilator therapy based on interpretation of clinical, x-ray, and blood gas data in conjunction with the pulmonologists and anesthesiologistAttends cardiopulmonary arrest situations, and responds to the needs of compromised patients providing resuscitations as neededRequirementsLicensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantA minimum of 1 year of related ICU experience as an NP or PA is requiredPrevious experience with intubation and central lines is required#IND1
