Certified Medical Assistant

*Job description*We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant in the Ellington, CT area to work at a Multi-Specialty office in the area. You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments. We are looking for candidates available on on a temporary to permanent basis.Hours: 2x 12 hour shifts a week and 8 hour rotating weekends.*Responsibilities:** Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner* Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff* Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures* Escort patients to exam rooms* Write out prescriptions for physical therapy, tests, etc.* Prepare patient charts* Prepare rooms for patient examinations* Sterilize & clean instruments* Take inventory of medical materials and supplies"‹*Qualifications:** 2 years of experience working as Medical Assistant* Must have a Medical Assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited school* Strong organizational skills* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentINDTJob Type: Full-timePay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hourExpected hours: 37.5 per weekMedical Specialty:* Urgent CareSchedule:* 12 hour shift* Day shift* Rotating weekendsExperience:* EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)* Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:* BLS Certification (Preferred)* Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)Ability to Relocate:* Ellington, CT: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: On the road
