With a strong emphasis on our team and dedication to excellent customer service, Corning Credit Union continues to be an employer of choice across the markets we serve.Role Summary: As a Member Relationship Consultant, you will be responsible for developing strong, lasting member relationships while utilizing flexibility and effective sales skills to provide "one-stop" service to our members.Essential Job DutiesMaintains comprehensive knowledge of our products and services to provide exceptional service and education to our members, while assisting them in meeting their vast lending, deposit, and electronic products and services needs.Assists members with completing membership and visa loan requests.Has solid cash handling skills and procedural knowledge in order to perform a variety of teller functions.Also assumes responsibility for other projects or duties as required or assigned.Required CompetenciesStrong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect well with diverse personalities.Highly flexible, capable of multi-tasking and working within a fast-paced team environment including sharing knowledge and direction.Strong verbal and written communication skillsExceptional attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsConfidence in recommending products and services with the ability to meet appropriate sales and service goals.Education RequirementsA bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred, commensurate work experience will also be considered.A high school diploma or GED is required.Experience Requirements1-3 years of sales or relationship building skills is required.Communication Skills RequirementsThe ability to read and comprehend moderate to advanced instructions and correspondence.The ability to write moderate to advanced correspondence within professional etiquette standards.The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations.The ability to effectively communicate loan decisions and navigate sensitive situations.Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.Physical RequirementsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the role.Ability to work in a repetitive motion for a lengthy period of time.Prolonged standingLifting requirement exceeds 10 pounds.Ability to work within a moderately noisy, fast paced environment.Regular use of computer required.Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, ability to adjust focus from computer to paper and/or close range to long range.An Equal Opportunity Employer.
