Full-time hours are 4pm-midnight.Per Diem also available!$3,000 SIGN ON BONUS!Basic Function/Overall Responsibilities:To provide nursing services within the scope of licensure granted by the State of New York in accordance with agency established job description and policy and procedure.Principal Assigned Responsibilities:Performs admission assessments on new clients with annual and as needed updates.Performs quarterly and as needed updates on childrens heights/weights/blood pressures.Attends resident progress conferences as required.Participates in medication-related functions which may include, but are not limited to, ordering, checking, logging in, distributing, and administering medications.Assists HGS physicians (psychiatrists/pediatrician/nurse practitioner with evaluation of children and follow-up on any orders resulted from such evaluations.Participates in scheduling childrens health-related appointments upon admission, annually, and as needed.Documents appropriate information in clinical records.Carries out and follows-up on physicians orders.Participates in medication reviews with physicians and monthly Treatment Planning Reviews (TPRs). When needed.Coordinates services with other HGS staff members and families; coordinates LOA with therapist, families, and psychiatrists.Ensures presence of appropriate data and documentation in clinical records via chart reviews.Participates in departmental and agency-wide QA/QI activities; participates in Health Services training.Maintains supplies and equipment in accordance with established policy and procedures.Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings.Performs employee health screening.Follows established agency policy and procedure regarding Infection Control.Assumes relief of nursing supervisor and/or RTF Team Leader duties when assigned.Responds to school concerns (i.e. restraints).Education and Experience Requirements:Current New York State licensure/registration as a Professional Registered Nurse.Current CPR certification.Preferred:Minimum 1-year general nursing experience; orExperience with children, and/or emotionally disturbed individuals; orPediatric or mental health nursing experience.#RNHGS
