We are responsible for evaluation, treatment and stabilization of patients who present requesting care for a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries across all age groups. To serve our community, Malta Med Emergent Care is open 24/7, 365 days per year with a 24-bed unit with cardiac monitoring capabilities. To support the Emergent Care and Outpatient Services, we also have a full-service Laboratory and advanced Medical Imaging Department that includes x-ray, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).About the TeamAt Malta Med Emergent Care, health care delivery is provided through collaborative relationships, with the activities of care organized around the needs and priorities of patients and their families. Assesses patients' physical/psycho-social status. Analyzes relevant data. Integrates assessment results in care planning, goals and outcomes. Provides for therapeutic interventions based on the continued assessment, prescribed orders and input from other care providers. Provides for adequate pain management, manages IV therapy and administers medications according to critical elements. Provides for patient/colleague/self safety and protection.Communication: Communicates with patients, colleagues, providers, and management in an accurate, considerate, and timely manner. Applies patient specific communication skills in interactions that are culturally sensitive & appropriate to age. Language barriers and sensory & cognitive deficit are accommodated. Provides report that is pertinent, concise using SBAR. Documents in a complete, timely and concise manner.Problem Solving: Employs critical thinking skills to achieve outcomes and solve problems. Consults multi-disciplinary team as appropriate to enhance patient/family education. Provides counseling for health behaviors.Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Candidates with AAS in Nursing who will complete BSN within four years of date of hire will be considered. Minimum three years' experience in Emergency Nursing. BLS required. ACLS and PALS required within one year of employment.Salary Range: $34 - $53.81Pay Grade: N10Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to: overall experience and qualifications, shift, and location.Location: Saratoga Hospital · Urgent CareSchedule: Full-Time, Night shift, 7 pm to 7:30 am
