You are our biggest asset, and we believe in rewarding and recognizing the work you perform and the medical care you provide our children in our centers.Take a look at what we offerFlexible SchedulingMedical, Dental and Vision InsuranceAFLAC Supplemental InsuranceBonus ProgramPaid HolidaysPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid CEU's/CPRCareer Progression OpportunitiesSupportive Leadership TeamPrimary ResponsibilitiesDelivers competent and quality care in compliance with the individuals' Plan of Care and ongoing physician orders.On-going observation and assessment of the individual's condition and needs.Takes appropriate action based on patient assessment.Documents all child/individual's care actions in an official EMR in response to medical needs.Identifies in writing child/individual's responses to treatment, specifically those that are unusual or unexpected.Monitors and interprets vital signs.Administers medication and evaluates the child/individual's response to treatment.Prepares and administers feedings, as appropriate.Administers respiratory treatments (oxygen therapy, CPT, oral/nasal and trach suctioning and pulse oximetry).Provides personal hygiene assistance.Monitors child/individual's I and O.Reports changes in child's medical condition to DON/Administrator immediately.Assists, collaborates with the interdisciplinary health team with the development of a child/individual's plan of care.Develops child/individual's goals and desired outcomes.Establishes child/individual's care that is consistent with the medical plan provided by the physician.Collaborate in the identification of child/individual's needs or problems.Reinforces child/individual's and family education for care of the child/individual.Intervenes as appropriate to prevent or reduce child/individual injury.Provides interventions to foster normal development and psychosocial adaptation.Maintains privacy and supports the rights of children/individuals and their families related to their care.Communicates effectively with the family and company staff to provide appropriate children/individual's information relevant to medical care.Works in a collaborative manner with other health care personnel.Provides information regarding availability and access to community resources.Acts in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act while complying with company standards and guidelines.Performs work in line with company mission and values.Maintains appropriate professional credentials and accepts responsibility for professional development.Competes all mandatory educational in-services upon hire, monthly and annually. Each employee is enrolled in the Company's Electronic Learning Management System.TransportationActs as a licensed medical escort to ensure the safe transportation of the child when assigned to the transportation vehicle.Conducts sound assessments and utilizes appropriate established guidelines; andRenders emergency medical care to children and infants based on assessment findings.Reports incidents. vehicle accidents, and medical concerns immediately to supervisor.Performs other duties as assigned.Education, Skills and Experience RequirementsAssociate Degree in Nursing, or Diploma with two years of pediatric specialty care experience preferred.Current, active license to practice in Pennsylvania.Participates in continuing education so that she/he has knowledge of current trends and developments in nursing. Will obtain continuing education required for re-licensure.IV experience.Annual Pediatric CPR certification.Must be certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) CPR/BLS with AED and First Aid.Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentEnvironment: Work is performed primarily in a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care setting with extensive patient contact. Due to the nature of the work, the RN may be exposed to bodily fluids and odors on an occasional basis.Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work with a patient; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 30 lbs.); and to verbally communicate to exchange information.Vision: Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Hearing: Hear in a normal audio range, with or without correction.
