We are actively seeking a compassionate and highly committed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our growing team in the Fredericksburg area on a PRN Basis! You will be responsible for providing exercise instruction and patient education aimed at improving/enhancing the patient's well-being while following the established plan of care on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. You will also coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure an optimal care experience for the patient!Territory: Warrenton, Stafford, and CulpepperWhat's in it for you?Flexible SchedulesCompetitive PPV RatesMileage ReimbursementA brief overview of Responsibilities:Provide direct physical therapy according to directions of a physical therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of careDirect and aid patient in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities, and prosthetic trainingUtilize physical agents, including heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massageInstruct in use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devicesObserve and report to the physical therapist the patient's reaction to treatment and any changes in conditionEnsure compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirementsAdditional responsibilities as assignedQualifications:Must be a graduate of a Physical Therapy assistant schoolMust be licensed or registered in Virginia.One year of home health experience PLUS!Must have current CPR CertificationIf you are interested and are a caring, compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant who can make a difference in the lives of our patients, then we would be interested in meeting you!!"James River is an equal opportunity employer.
