As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting wellness.PearlCare Search Group is currently working with multiple NOT FOR PROFITS with needs in their Adult Day Services, Group Homes and Case Management sites located throughout the five boroughs, Nassau and Suffolk Counties.Please contact me with any questions or concerns by calling our office at 646-293-6660.Job detailsJob title:RN & LPN - (OPWDD) - Developmental Disabilities 080624PearlCare Search Group is looking for dedicated Nurses (RNs & LPNS) to work in Schools, Residential and Adult Day Services programs providing services to people with development disabilities.Current New York State nursing license is required.Flexible schedules are available!!!!Responsibilities:• Oversee general health issues for people in Residential programs or day programs• Monitor medication and medical records for people receiving services• Consult with MD's to ensure optimal medical treatments are provided to people being supported• Supervise direct support professional (DSP) staff administration of medication to people receiving services• Ensures medical follow up (i.e. appt.'s, labs obtain prescribed medication, etc.) occurs in a timely manner• Ensures individuals are receiving prescribed medications, treatments and nutrition/diet as ordered• Accompanies/transports individuals to appointments when needed, due to staffing needs• Maintains accurate mandated medical records• Attends internal team meetings as scheduledQualifications & Work Experience• 1-2 years nursing experience is preferredNew Grads will be considered• Valid NYS nursing license in good standing is required• Knowledge of OPWDD regulations is preferred• Valid NYS Driver's license is preferred• CPR Certified is required• Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb. items required• Organizational skills, and Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with coworkers, individuals served, families and outside contacts is essential• Must be reliable and caringJoin our team of healthcare professionals dedicated to making a difference in patients' lives.
