This includes the Frank Residences, offering luxurious assisted living and memory care services; the Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center, featuring long-term skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, and an acute psychiatric unit specialized in mental healthcare for older adults over age 55; and the Jewish Home and Senior Living Foundation.Grounded in the Jewish values of dignity, compassion, and community, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living, fondly referred to in the past as "the Jewish Home," was founded in 1871. Today, 150 years later, it continues to build upon its legacy of enriching the lives of older adults.Position Overview:The Clinical Dietitian will provide clinical nutrition services, including nutritional assessments, modified diet formulation, self-management training and nutrition interventions to residents. Ensures resident satisfaction, quality care, regulatory agency compliance, and good public relations are achieved through the safe and efficient use of resources. Promotes a culture of wellness for residentsEssential Job Functions:Maintains registration status through the Commission of DieteticsRDN is responsible for nutrition screening, assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, evaluation and plan of care as per AND's RD scope of practice and company policies.Consult with physician and other health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of residentsRecognize and adopt activities appropriate to the specific needs of the resident populationInspect meals served for conformance to prescribed diets and for standards of palatability and appearanceInstruct residents and their families in nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection and preparationEngage in data collection for department-specific QAPI projectsMaintain accurate records to meet regulatory agency guidelinesCollaborate with Registered Dietetic Technicians in conducting nutritional screening and in providing nutritional careCollaborate with Clinical Nutrition Manager with preceptor responsibilities for Dietitian Intern's professional learning experienceAdhere to established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environmentFunction as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team to implement nutrition care plansComplies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal government regulationsPerform all other related dutiesRequirementsBachelor degree in area related to field, requiredMaster degree in area related to field, if eligibility for the RD exam established after January 1, 2024, required.Successfully passed Registered Dietitian exam1-3 years of experience as a Clinical Dietitian, preferredDemonstrated proficiency with MS Office, including Outlook, Word, ExcelDemonstrates knowledge of specific issues directly related to age of patient and resident populationAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statisticsAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English (both verbal and written) with clients/customers and staffPosition requires the ability to work with confidential employee informationMaintains friendly, efficient attitude towards customers, co-workers and clientsPay Range: $36.50- $48.00 DOE
