RDs are responsible for assessing, monitoring and educating patients and their families on the importance of diet and nutrition in managing chronic kidney disease.Schedule: Fulltime Monday through Friday, shifts start at 7:00am, weekends offThis position will cover two clinics - Goose Creek & East Cooper.Compensation: Pay range from $68,000-$73,000 annually, depending on renal experience; experience preferred. $5,000 sign on bonus!Benefits:Training, support and mentorship opportunities provided by clinic and corporate teams for individuals new to renal careComprehensive medical, dental and vision benefitsLife and long-term care insurance provided at no additional expense to employeePaid time off (PTO) including holidaysExtended Sick Bank (ESB) in addition to PTO - paid time for doctor appointments, sickness or medical leaveRetirement plans with $.50 of each contributed dollar matched for eligible employees, up to 8 percentEducation financial supportEmployee assistance programWellness programAmong othersResponsibilities:What You Can Expect:Assist patients with making diet and nutrition choices that improve their quality of lifeComplete comprehensive nutrition assessment for all new and at-risk patientsCollaborate with interdisciplinary team and patient to develop and implement individualized care plans based on nutritional assessment; review monthly and document progress toward established goalsIdentify specific interventions necessary to meet nutritional needs based on evidence-based guidelines, best practices and current researchEducate patient and family/caregiver about renal diet and fluid managementMonitor monthly laboratory results and weight changes, make recommendations to meet established goalsUtilize a patient-centered care approach, respecting and responding to individual and cultural preferences while encouraging engagementParticipate in Quality Assessment Performance Improvement process, documenting and attending meetings per clinic policyCompile and create nutrition materials to promote adherence to renal diet guidelinesCommunicate nutrition concerns with care team, including attending physiciansShare kidney disease and nutrition advances with care team as neededQualifications:Successful Candidates Bring:Excellent communication skillsDemonstrated clinical proficiencyDesire to collaborate with care teamsAbility to problem solveEducation/Training:Must be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with Commission on Dietetic RegistrationMinimum one year professional work experience in clinical nutrition as a registered dietitian (after successful completion of registration exam) requiredPrevious renal care experience preferred, not requiredJob shadow opportunities availableDCI's Differentiator:Since opening the first clinic 50 years ago in Nashville, Tenn., our Dialysis Clinic, Inc. family has grown to be the nation's largest nonprofit dialysis provider with more than 270 locations in 30 states, serving nearly 14,000 patients each day.
