From locomotives, transit, freight cars and engines, to tracks, signals and advanced technology, we ensure customers can count on us to meet their needs.Learn how we keep our customers rolling by following us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn, and by visiting progressrail.com.Key Job ElementsDuties and responsibilities:• Perform monthly closing activities, to include journal entry preparation, account analysis, and account reconciliations including detailed supporting schedules;• Engage with operations management to assist in preparing and analyzing annual budgets, as well as monthly and quarterly forecasts;• Manage inventory cost accounting processes, ensuring cost and quantity accuracy;• Responsible for Accounts Payable, Customer Invoicing, and Accounts Receivable for multiple Signal locations;• Implement and ensure adherence to SOX controls;• Ensure timely submission of supporting documentation for all internal and external audit requests;• Lead or participate in special projects for the Signaling team as needed;• Prepare ad hoc analysis and reporting for internal management as requested;• Other duties as assigned.Education / Training• BS Degree in Accounting or Finance;• CPA, CMA or MBA is a plus;• Five years or more related experience; preferred.Qualifications and Experience• Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);• Experience with inventory cost accounting and processes in a manufacturing environment;• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);• Infor LN or other ERP systems and Cognos/TM1 Reporting knowledge is a plus;• Must demonstrate analytical skills and general knowledge of accounting processes;• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;• Strong organization skills; able to consistently meet deadlines;• Ability to work independently and contribute to a team environment;• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting and cost accounting is required.BenefitsCompetitive Salary401(k) plan with up to 6% company match (no waiting period with immediate vesting)Medical/Dental/Vision/Life/Disability InsuranceSupplemental Accident, Critical Care, and Hospital Insurance available along with an HDHP and HSA with seed moneyFlexible Spending AccountsPaid VacationPaid HolidaysPaid Time-Off (PTO)Employee Assistance PlanEducation Assistance ProgramEmployee Recognition ProgramsSite specific Production and Incentive PlansSite specific Step and Skill Level Wage Adjustment PlansSite Specific Relocation and Sign-on Bonus Programs*Benefits eligibility varies by job position, full-time/part-time and regular/temporary status.
