Nursing Scheduling Coordinator and Central Supply ClerkAcceptable candidate(s) will have experience working in a healthcare setting, specifically a nursing home / skilled nursing / long-term care community as a Nursing Scheduling Coordinator. The position is responsible to coordinate and manage the nursing departments master schedule, daily staffing and vacancy.The Nursing Scheduling Coordinator and Central Supply Clerk position requires the ability to manage and coordinate the nursing department's employee's 24-hour / 7-day a week schedules within the facility master schedule / PPD. Additionally, this role is responsible for ensuring the patient care units are well stocked with nursing supplies while maintaining par levels within the monthly budget. Attention to details, ability to use Microsoft Excel and spend-down sheets, along with outstanding negotiating and employee/customer service skills are a must.Some of the job responsibilities include:· Completes monthly schedule based on the master schedule and staffing patterns.· Manages the master schedule utilizing the electronic staffing program.· Completes and distributes daily staffing. Maintains a record of past daily staffing sheets on file. Posts daily staffing as required.· Is able to calculate unit PPD and uses budgeted PPD to coordinate staffing.· Keeps updated employee contact list.· Works closely with Payroll and DON to monitor overtime, sick time, agency use, allocation of hours, and vacation time.· Keeps an updated list of open positions by unit and shift.· Assists with the scheduling and interviewing of the C.N.A. / nursing staff.· Develops and maintains an inventory system for nursing/medical supplies for the center.· Works the DON to determine par levels of supplies and maintains these levels.· Collaborates with Accounts Payable to purchasing of supplies reconciliation of paperwork.· Verifies incoming orders against purchase orders and makes contact with vendor if order is inaccurate.· Maintains the "spend- down sheet" to manage costs with budget guidelines.· Maintains an open working relationship with the vendors that can affect emergency orders if needed.· Distribute supplies to appropriate locations and assist in maintaining unit supply sites.· Demonstrates the ability to maintain the supply room in an organized manner so as to per mote the safe and efficient access to supplies.· Develops and maintains effective communication with staff, residents, and community to meet needs of residents and the center.This is a full-time, Monday - Friday position.Salary is based on the experience you bring to the position. A Certified Nursing Assistant / C.N.A. or nurse with scheduling experience is plus!
