Description:UCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others! UCFS is currently seeking a full-time ECCP Consultant to serve as a mental health consultant to early childcare providers, educators, and families. The ECC is an expert in the promotion of positive early childhood mental health. This position will represent the consultant's home agency, ABH, and its services in a positive and professional manner and adhere to both agencies' best practices, guidelines, policies and procedures as established.Essential Responsibilities-Team with early childcare staff to identify, assess and provide interventions for young children, birth-to-five, who may be at risk of suspension and/or expulsion from a childcare or early education program.Act as a resource regarding early childhood development with emphasis on emotional and behavioral health and the importance of relationships between the child and parent/guardian.Provide coaching to early childhood providers in manner that is culturally responsive to the child, family, and provider.Assist early childhood staff with appropriate referral information for identified children and families who may need more specialized services.Participate in training modules, regular statewide meetings, and supervisory observation.Acts as a liaison between family, early childhood provider, and other support agencies in the community and integrate prevention and early intervention on a systems level.Provide public education regarding early childhood topics through community presentations.Complete all required documentation including data and reports within a timely manner.Requirements:Master's degree (M.A., M.F.T., M.S.W.) in a Human Services related field (psychology, social work, marriage, and family counselingCT state license required or CT State license eligibleFamiliarity with early childhood care and education systems and programBilingual (Spanish) preferredValid CT driver's license and reliable transportation requiredAll employees at UCFS are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19UCFS offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes -medical, dental and vision insurance401(k) plan with an employer contributionFlexible Spending AccountHealth Savings Accountcompany-paid life and disability insurancegenerous paid time off (holidays, vacation, floating holidays, sick time)flexible schedulescompetitive salariesNational Health Services Corp.
