Want to work for a company that has a strong mission of helping children with special needs?Job Summary: The Evaluation Specialist is responsible for ensuring all children referred for evaluation receive high quality, clinically appropriate evaluations in accordance with state and county regulations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Review all evaluation reports to ensure compliance with state and county regulations as well as clinical appropriateness.Demonstrate a solid understanding of the evaluation process in the CPSE programs.Attend IEP meetings per weekAssist evaluation teams by troubleshooting issues that may arise during the evaluation process.Conduct home and center-based evaluations/observations when necessary (certification permitting).Establish and maintain a continuous supervision/training plan for all evaluators.Complete quality assurance audits to ensure all evaluation reports meet state and country regulations.Communicate frequently with various school districts, other referral sources and parents.Follow up on missing reports to ensure all evaluations are submitted in a timely mannerOther duties as assigned by manager.Our Mission: We believe that all children have potential. We are always striving for continuous improvement by setting goals and measuring performance.It is the reason we will succeed together.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:Individual must hold a valid certification as a School Psychologist, Special Education (Permanentor B-2) or master's in social work to ensure clinical competence.Successful experience working in a high-volume work environment where organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.Qualifications and Other Requirements:Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook a must.Strong analytical skillsRemain current regarding policy and regulationsPhysical RequirementsMust be able to travel to and from assigned work events including but not limited to driving a personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.Occasionally ascends/descends stairs going to, while at, or leaving work location or facilities traveled to for work events.Occasionally moving and/or lifting objects at work weighing up to 20 pounds such as files or copy paper.Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time up to 90% of the workday working on a computer/electronic device.The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
