Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our primarily small animal clinic. Triadelphia started in 2006 as a collaboration between three dedicated women veterinarians with the intent of providing skilled and compassionate care for both clients and their pets. Since then, we have grown into a busy 4 doctor practice with about 30 employees. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing top-notch veterinary services.Prefer at least 2yrs RVT experience*We are currently offering a $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment!**Employee benefits:*· Competitive pay· Employee discount· Line of credit· Scrub allowance· Sick time· 401k· Occasional treats- bubble tea, snacks, smoothies etc. :)· Additional benefits for fulltime employees*Duties & Skills*· Assist veterinarians in various procedures and examinations· See RVT specific appointments- administer vaccines, rechecks etc.· Triage patients as needed & coordinate transfer of critical cases· Place IV catheters, perform blood draws, use IV and syringe pumps· Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis & cytologies· Calculate, administer and monitor anesthesia· Provide post-operative care to patients· Administer medications and treatments· Utilize X-ray equipment for diagnostic imaging· Maintain cleanliness and sterility using aseptic techniques· Handle animals with care and compassion during procedures- we strive to maintain a fear free environment· Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress· Communicate and compassionately work with clients to give their pets the best care· Have a flexible schedule- generally fixed for RVTs.
