*POSITION SUMMARY*The Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) is responsible for providing primary care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, and educating patients. He/she works closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care. This position reports to their supervising physician or Department Head.*PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES*_Achieve Results_* Assesses patient status by obtaining health history through patient/family interviews and chart reviews; assesses presenting illness, risk factors, and family history psychosocial situations, and cultural factors; and perform appropriate physical examinations.* Develops and implements treatment plan. Prescribes/dispenses medications in compliance with medical practice guidelines and state laws. May handle minor lacerations, biopsies, etc. Instructs patient/family regarding medications and treatments. Educates patients regarding health promotion/illness prevention.* Prepares documentation for medical records which includes updating patient medical chart by posting examination and test results, diagnosis, medications, and treatment in written/computerized manner.* Participates in peer reviews, chart reviews, staff education, clinical guideline development, continuing education, and quality assurance activities to demonstrate compliance with standards, regulations, policies and procedures.* Consults/Collaborates with physicians when appropriate in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patient. Provides monitoring and continuity of care between visits according to treatment plan.* Participates in PCMH model to achieve improvement of patient and population health, improves the patient experience and controls healthcare cost._Operational Excellence_* Ensures the delivery of all medical treatment and care is consistent with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards, including clinical policies and quality initiatives.* Understands and ensures all practices and procedures related to the delivery of medical services are consistent with clinical protocols and procedures._Relationships_* Establishes a favorable working relationship with all staff members associated with the organization.* Possesses a positive working relationship with patients, contractors, vendors, third party payor resources and related entities._Leadership & Stewardship_* Upholds and consistently represent the values, mission, and policies of the organization at all times.*PRIMARY TASKS AND DUTIES** Performs comprehensive physical assessments; evaluating, diagnosing, and treating new and existing patient's medical conditions.* Initiates and interprets labs and x-ray study results including CTs & MRIs.* Performs medical procedures with appropriate credentialing.* Refers patients for specialized consultation.* Assists physicians in medical procedures.* Uses prescriptive authority to write prescription medicines for patients.* Enters/Dictates progress notes on patients' charts indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed.* Conducts follow-up patient care.* Provides health education to patients and families.* All other duties as assigned*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/KEY COMPETENCIES ** Knowledge of advanced practice of nursing including anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and therapeutics, basic nutrition, behavior factors, psychosocial/family systems, diagnostic testing, interpretation of results and clinical decision making, alternative treatment modalities.* Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices and regulations related to evaluating and providing patient care, and professional ethics related to the delivery of care.* Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.*POSITION REQUIREMENTS*_Education_* MSN required* Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner from an approved nurse practitioner program.* Current Maryland state registered nurse license and advanced registered nurse practitioner license with prescriptive authority._Experience__1 - 2 years as Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner experience. _Job Type: Full-timePay: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Continuing education credits* Dental insurance* Disability insurance* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Life insurance* Loan repayment program* Malpractice insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceMedical Specialty:* Primary CareLicense/Certification:* Certified Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)Ability to Relocate:* Salisbury, MD 21804: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
