Unit Supervisor

*Job Summary*We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Supervisor to oversee the operations of our healthcare unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to manage staff effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring high standards of care and operational efficiency within the unit.*Duties** Supervise daily operations of the unit, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.* Coordinate patient care activities, including triage and assessment, to ensure timely and effective treatment.* Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in administering injections, suturing, and other medical procedures.* Monitor infection control practices within the unit to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans for patients, particularly in specialized areas such as cardiac catheterization and memory care.* Ensure that all staff are trained in emergency protocols, particularly in a Level I Trauma* Conduct regular evaluations of staff performance and provide constructive feedback for professional development.*Qualifications** Proven experience in a supervisory role within a healthcare setting is preferred.* Strong clinical skills with experience in cardiac catheterization, triage, infection control, and administering injections.* Previous Charge Nurse experience* Familiarity with procedures related to suturing and aliment management is highly desirable.* Previous experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or PICU is an advantage.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team and interact with patients.* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.* A valid nursing license or relevant certification is required.Join our team as a Unit Supervisor where you can make a meaningful impact on patient care while leading a dedicated team of professionals.About Us_We are Inova, Northern Virginia's leading nonprofit healthcare provider.
