The Financial Accountant is responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.Responsibilities:Manages all financial aspects and directs financial operations of the company.Prepare and publish timely monthly trial balance and resulting financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet and statement of changes in financial condition, along with required supporting schedules and other data necessary for financial reports and records.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Prepares operating budgets and financial forecasts in coordination with the various committees, departments and management; analyzes financial information, monitors budgeted versus actual expenditures and advises management about variances and their potential causes; recommends corrective actions to help assure that budget goals are met.Maintains fixed asset ledgers and prepares depreciation schedules for monthly entries.Maintains construction work in progress schedules for renovation projects.Safeguards all funds in bank accounts.Enters all Accounts Payable invoices adding proper coding along with processing all weekly Accounts Payable check runs.Reviews all Vendor statements timely and handles all vendor related phone calls and requests.Directs and verifies the taking of inventories and assets along with recording inventory adjustments as they occur.Verifies that all insurance records for property are properly maintained including preparing and submitting yearly insurance audits required by each type of Insurance, i.e. Property & Liability and Workers Compensation.Reconciles ledgers quarterly including receivables, payables and all other asset and liability accounts.Provides documents to external audit firm for preparation of applicable federal, state and local tax returns.Coordinate the annual external financial audit.Compiles, approves and maintains credit applications for vendors.Maintains all Capital leases insuring proper recording and monthly payment processing thereof.Processes Quarterly license returns.Collects and files invoices.Develops all Adhoc and custom financial reporting as requested by management.Attends departmental and staff meetings.Completes other appropriate assignments as requested.Education / Experience:Five (5) years' experience as a Financial Accountant or an equivalent role OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
