Responsibilities:Perform accounting duties related to Accounts Receivable management including, but not limited to:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual contract vouchersPrepare and submit invoices to external agenciesPrepare journal entries to record revenue, receivables, and cash transactionsReconcile accounts receivable, cash, and revenue accountsPerform Capital Projects accounting coordination to include, but not limited to:Liaise with the EOC department to maintain an accurate listing of all capital projects in progressCreate and assign capital project codes in ERP system (Premier)Ensure that all capital project expenses are accurately captured in ERP System (Premier)Prepare journal vouchers for recording completed capital projects for accurate depreciation assignmentAs needed, prepare monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts including, but not limited to:Complete bank reconciliations using ERP System (Premier) for AHS accountsPrepare bank reconciliations for all 310 Board accounts, Mobile Community Homes, and Sylacauga Specialized HousingOther Finance & Accounting duties to include, but not limited to:Provider Enrollment supportCreate and manage vendors in ERP System (Premier)Assist with Grants Accounting activities to include grant account reconciliations and other duties as assignedRoutine reconciliation of general ledger accountsSpecial Accounting projects as assignedSupervision and ConsultationSeeks supervision and consultation as neededAccepts and employs suggestions for improvementActively works to enhance skillsCourteous and respectful towards consumers, visitors and co-workersTreat consumers with care, dignity and compassionRespect consumers' privacy and confidentialityIs pleasant and cooperative with othersAssist consumers and visitors as neededPersonal values don't inhibit ability to relate and care for othersIs sensitive to the consumer's needs, expectations and individual differencesIs gentle and calm with consumers, families and others as appropriateAdministrative and Other Related Duties as assigned:Actively participate in Performance Improvement activitiesActively participate in AHS committees as requestedComplete assigned tasks in a timely mannerTreat consumers with dignity and respectWork in a cooperative manner with other AHS employeesFollow AHS policies and proceduresReceive and respond to inquiries of billing matters promptly and courteouslyPerform financial analysis as neededAssist with performance of duties of other staff in periods of absencePerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, three years of accounting related experience preferred; experience including accounting, grants & contracts administration, financial management, and regulatory compliance monitoring preferred; Previous supervisory experience required.
