Position Summary:The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for the direct implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming with clients at Westside Childrens Therapy, under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Providing predominantly play-based therapy, the RBT will support Westside clients in the development of a wide variety of skills.Essential Functions:Implement direct therapy services for assigned clients and caseload, following programming written by BCBAEngage with BCBA during regular supervision sessions to ask questions and receive feedbackCollect and record data on patients behaviorComplete and submit required documentation (SOAP notes, etc) in a timely manner, aligned with Westside's policies and proceduresDevelop strong relationships with the children on your caseload and strive to make every session a fun experienceParticipate in weekly team meetings with clinics ABA teamMaintain targeted caseload of 30 therapy hours per weekRequired Education, Experience and Credentials:High school diploma or equivalent1 year of experience as an RBT at Westside or 2 years of experience progressive progressive leadership experience in a RBT or similar rolePrevious experience working with the special needs population, particularly in ABAActive RBT certification required at time of hireKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong verbal and written communication skillsCompetence with a variety of computer applicationsComfortable persona to better develop relationships with children and their familiesPersonal Attributes:Collaborative spirit and willingness to work as a teamPassion for working with children with special needsPatient with the ability to redirect clients frequently and compassionatelyAccountable for personal behavior and performanceReceptive to feedback with a commitment to personal and professional developmentHonest and transparent communicatorWork Environment and Physical Demands:Ability to learn and implement de-escalation skills for client sessionsAbility to lift or carry 30 lbsAbility to work in a variety of positions, including on the floor during played-based therapyTravel RequirementsSome travel within assigned region for training, meetings and supporting client coverage needs.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
