The incumbent provides critical support to the Bank and the bank holding company and must be interested in advancement. This position is not eligible for remote work.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESHire, train, supervise, and manage general accounting and accounts payable staff, including assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance evaluationsOversee work performed by general accounting and accounts payable staff, ensuring entries and tasks are completed accurately and timelyEnsure accurate reconciliation of internal DDA and general ledger accounts; research, resolve, and escalate reconciling differences appropriatelyAssist with development and implementation of policies and internal controls; ensure policies and internal controls are followedSupport the month-end and year-end closing processesPrepare, review, and approve journal entriesMaintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedulesMaintain the general ledger systemResearch and resolve accounting issues for compliance with GAAPAssist with regulatory and financial reportingMaintain supporting documentation of workPrepare various reportsAssist with audit fieldworkBack up other department membersOther duties as assignedThe preceding functions have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification.
