Job Description:As the Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and reports. You will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will also provide support for audits, budgeting, and forecasting activities, while mentoring accounting staff.*This is a hybrid-office position and requires regular attendance in our Concord, CA offices. Financial Reporting:Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.Analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and discrepancies.2. General Ledger Management:Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.Ensure accurate recording of transactions and adjustments.Prepare and post journal entries.3. Account Reconciliation:Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.Review and approve reconciliations prepared by junior staff.4. Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.5. Audit and Compliance:Coordinate and support internal and external audits.Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.Implement recommendations from audit findings.6. Tax Compliance:Assist with the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.Ensure proper documentation and support for tax filings.7. Process Improvement:Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices.Streamline accounting procedures to enhance efficiency.8. Team Leadership:Mentor and train junior accountants and staff.Provide guidance and support on accounting issues and inquiries.Delegate tasks and oversee the completion of accounting assignments.9. Ad Hoc Analysis:Provide financial analysis and support for special projects as needed.Prepare reports and presentations for management.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, including experience in a senior or supervisory role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.The estimated pay range stated represents the typical pay range for this position or similarly employed employees or employees performing substantially similar work. Factors which may be used to determine the actual pay rate may include, but are not limited to, education, training or experience; seniority; merit and work performance; quantity or quality of production; regional differences in compensation; differences in local minimum wages, or ability and effort.Pay Range for the position is: $120,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year.Old Republic complies with all federal, state and local laws including minimum wage requirements.
