Travel Cath Lab RN (Newton, NJ)Location: Newton Medical Center, 175 High Street, Newton, NJ, 07860, USPay:Total Pay: $3,430.00Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)Shifts:Shift: 7:00 am - 5:00 pmOn-call required: Minimum 1 shift per week and weekend rotationsResponsibilities:Assessment Skills: Perform thorough assessments that are systematic, comprehensive, and accurate. Provide patient care across all age groups from Pediatric to Geriatric.Clinical Skills: Demonstrate competent clinical skills, including emergency equipment and procedure knowledge. Provide direct patient care activities supporting patient care delivery and team concept.Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate documentation, following documentation guidelines. Document components of the nursing process and patient progress, including patient education.Professionalism: Demonstrate professional practice responsibility, adhering to policies and procedures. Identify areas for clinical and professional growth.Patient Satisfaction: Respond professionally, courteously, and positively to patients, families, and co-workers. Promote an environment focused on patient and family-centered care, maintaining confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.Safety: Follow National Patient Safety Goals, use safe transfer techniques, and maintain proper body mechanics for self and patients.Unit Specific Job Function: Individualize patient care according to procedures and type of anesthesia. Assess patient reactions and understanding of procedures/instructions.Responsibility and Accountability: Contribute to the perioperative team, directing patient care and prioritizing based on patient needs and condition changes.Patient Education and Chart Completion: Assess patient understanding of surgical procedures/instructions, including family in teaching. Perform pre-operative and postoperative assessment and education.Duties Specific to PAT RN: Support timely patient testing completion. Evaluate Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness and potential omissions.Requirements:Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of New Jersey.Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.BLS and ACLS certifications required.Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.Additional Information:On-call shifts required, including a minimum of one on-call shift per week and weekend rotations.The RN must demonstrate competent assessment and clinical skills, maintain accurate documentation, and promote patient satisfaction and safety.Adherence to all policies and procedures, including those related to infection control and safety, is mandatory.Referral Program: Earn referral bonuses for successful referrals.
