Other duties may be assigned.With the Director of Finance, analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures such as bookkeeping, preparation of payrolls, cash receipts/deposits, flow of correspondence, filing, and other administrative services to maintain maximum internal controls.Performs daily accounting operations with regards to accounts receivable, general ledger, and budgeting.Regularly produces financial reports, adhering to proper accounting methods, policies and principles. Assumes responsibility for effectively researching, tracking and resolving accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies. Monitors agency charges and recommends more efficient purchasing/billing/collection methods.Protects organization's reputation by keeping information confidential, aiding in the development of the agency by promoting volunteerism and promoting awareness to general public in order for Community Link to be a leader in programs and services.Requirements:QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting. Two years accounting experience preferred.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:A demonstrated ability to work with accounting, word processing, database and spreadsheet computer software.
