U.S. Medical Staffing is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) to provide therapeutic support to children in their home, school & other community settings. If you value goal achievement and self-motivation and are looking for a meaningful career, we'd love to talk with you!*About The Role:*The BHT will be responsible for providing individualized, one-to-one ABA support to children/adolescents with behavioral disorders across all settings (school, home, and community). The BHT who is providing ABA services will implement individualized behavioral interventions based on the treatment plan goals created by an ABA Behavior Consultant (BC-ABA).*Duties and Responsibilities:** Provides input and feedback that contributes to the development of the treatment plan.* Provides crisis management and support to clients, including prevention, de-escalation, and processing of strategies to support improved client functioning.* Adheres to CASSP principles of being child-centered, family-focused, community based, multi-system, culturally competent and least restrictive/least intrusive and incorporated these principles through treatment.* Demonstrates knowledge and utilization of trauma informed practices, including emotional intelligence, effective communication, understanding of impact of trauma on development, strengths based and person-centered practice, resilience focus and commitment to growth and change.* Implements all documentation requirements, reports are complete, thorough, timely, and follow prescribed format. Ensures staffs do the same.* Understanding of theory and implementation of behavior modification interventions.* Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with a broad variety of people, including other team members and management.* Ability to independently assess and record data to report behavioral outcomes and intervention results to treatment team.* Ability to communicate treatment objectives and interventions effectively and independently to youth, family, school staff and other treatment team members.*Education/Experience /Skills Requirements:** Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, sociology, education, criminal justice, or similar human service field *OR** Bachelor's degree in any field with at least one year of experience in a job that involved direct contract with children/adolescents *OR** Associates Degree, *OR *60 credits toward a Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years of full-time paid work experience in direct care work with children or adolescents *OR** High school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma* Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing Applied behavior analysis (ABA) services and a completed a minimum of 40 hours of training covering the RBT related to ABA approved by the Department of Human Services (DHS) or provided by a continuing education provider approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)* Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the provision of behavioral health services* Knowledge of crisis management techniques.* Demonstrates initiative, problem solving, and follow-through* Knowledge, application, and adherence to CASSP principles.*License/Certification:** Completed 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification training curriculum prior to hire or within 6 months of start date.* Current CPR Certification* First Aid Certification*All Candidates Must Have:** Current Physical* PPD if history of positive PPD please provide proof of Chest X-Ray* Provide a copy of your degree and official transcripts.* Valid driver's license with access to an automobile, preferred or ability to utilize public transportation.* Current State Required Clearances (Criminal Background, Child Abuse and DPW FBI Fingerprinting).INDBEHJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, TemporaryPay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hourExpected hours: 25 - 40 per weekBenefits:* Referral programSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to FridayPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyEducation:* Associate (Required)Experience:* Adolescents: 1 year (Required)License/Certification:* Driver's License (Preferred)Shift availability:* Day Shift (Preferred)Ability to Relocate:* Philadelphia, PA 19115: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
