This individual must be able to communicate effectively and understands the need to work in an integrated manner with other members of the department in furtherance of goals, objectives, and knowledge.Job Essentials, Responsibilities, DutiesPreparation and review of complex income tax returns including but not limited to Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, annual business, exempt organization, and Individual returnsAssist in quality control review of tax returnsAssist in planning and compliance regarding international tax matters including waivers and tax returnsAssist in the review and oversight over the preparation of quarterly tax projections and communication of required estimated tax paymentsAssist in the oversight and review of year-end shareholder bonus processMaintenance and adherence to financial and tax reporting policies and proceduresAssign, track and manage tasks and projects to Tax StaffAssist in review and oversight over the reporting of 1099'sPreparation and review of tax correspondence and facilitation and oversight over tax audits and tax noticesFacilitation of entity creation and dissolution procedures including attainment of Articles of Incorporation, organizational documents, FEIN applications and 2553sAssist team with tax software questionsAssist in review of all annual reports, franchise tax returns and other state returnsAssist in client invoicing for tax services performedSpecific Job Knowledge, skills, and AbilitiesExperience within a Business Management Firm and /or the entertainment industry where there would be good transferability of skills.QualificationsAbility to reliably commute and report to the Tri Star officeBS in Accounting, Finance or Economics with strong academic recordMAcc or Masters in Taxation, preferredExperience working in a business management firm or providing financial/tax services for HNWIExperience using QuickBooks and ExcelActive CPA LicenseProficiency in tax software and technology10+ years of experience in a Tax practiceTri Star Core ValuesPERFORMANCE: We provide clients with excellent reporting and serviceHONEST & INTEGRITY: We are transparent and accountable, always being truthful to staff and clientsTEAMWORK: We actively participate in group discussions, tasks, and projectsCOMMITMENT: We are dedicated to our roles within Tri Star, the core values of the firm and the clientsTECHNOLOGY: We seek to capitalize on innovative technologies and contribute to positive change in the firmThis job description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all requirements of this positionThe salary offered to an applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience and education.
